Compression Wrap (Set of 2+1)

The Voodoo Floss Band was popularized by Kelly Starrett, a physical therapist and founder of The Ready State (formerly MobilityWOD). He introduced floss bands as a way to enhance mobility, reduce pain, and accelerate recovery by applying compression-based tissue manipulation.

Origins & Development

• The concept of tissue compression for mobility work has roots in occlusion training (blood flow restriction therapy) and myofascial release techniques.
• Starrett adapted and popularized it around 2010–2012, promoting its use among athletes, CrossFitters, and physical therapists.
• Rogue Fitness and other fitness brands began producing and selling "Voodoo Floss Bands," helping to standardize the product.

How It Works

• A latex compression band (floss band) is wrapped tightly around a joint or muscle, creating temporary vascular occlusion and tissue shearing when movement is performed.
• When the band is removed, fresh blood flow rushes in, promoting tissue hydration, mobility, and pain relief.

• Used for prehab, rehab, and performance enhancement.
• Commonly applied to knees, elbows, shoulders, ankles, and wrists.

Since its rise, the floss band method has been studied and adapted, but Starrett remains the key figure behind its widespread adoption.

Many compression wraps come shipped with a coating that causes the band to lose it's stickiness. This band has full tack, and can grip tissue better than most compression bands. The stickiness comes at the expense of long term shelf life, as eventually the band can degrade and stick to itself. As a result, these are shipped in sets of 2 with a 3rd added for free.
